It all started in 1972.
When Ed Silva opened his interior window and wall covering company in 1972, he had no idea that in 50 years Silva Contracting would become a premier construction and design company specializing in healthcare facilities.
He only desired to meet his clients’ needs with exceptional work and superb customer service—a mission that still drives the company today.
Silva’s foray into healthcare began.
A successful project at a small satellite office at Washington Hospital Center led to more jobs in the healthcare industry. Silva Contracting's diligence in maintaining infection control, meeting tight deadlines, and implementing patient safety protocols made it the go-to company for many healthcare facilities in the Washington metro area.
New expertise added to Silva's versatility.
Ed Silva’s sons joined their father, allowing Silva Contracting to expand its services and clientele. Their degrees in construction and business management have provided the company with the expertise to work with clients in a range of industries, including commercial and apartment complexes.
